Friday will be warm and dry with high temperatures reaching the 80s. Our temperature forecast has underperformed so far this week, so the upper 80s are no longer expected this afternoon. A few more clouds will sweep over the are compared to earlier this week, with minimal impact to your day.
Overnight lows will drop into the 50s and low 60s under mostly clear skies as a stable weather pattern remains in place.
What We’re Tracking
A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Saturday in Grant, Adams, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. Winds will pick up region-wide tomorrow as a weather system passes to our north during the day. Expect sustained winds over 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, especially in the Okanogan Valley and western Columbia Basin. With humidity levels dropping as low as 15 percent, fire risk will be high in the basin and moderate/high around Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. Temperatures will reach the middle and upper 80s to start the weekend.
