SPOKANE, Wash. – A 34-year-old man was arrested and a 7-year-old hospitalized after the adult driver struck the child, who was riding a bike, with his car. The Spokane Police Department (SPD) said that the collision occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex on East Wedgewood Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
SPD said when officers arrived, they found the child with “obvious injuries stemming from the collision.” The child is reportedly in stable condition after being transported to the hospital.
