Spokane community raises over $10,000 for Moyer family after losing home in Upriver Fire

SPOKANE, Wash. — Local groups came together on Saturday, June 27, to help one family after the Upriver Fire destroyed their home and the music studio where they raised their children.

The Moyer family’s home was one of 15 houses destroyed in the fire. In addition to their residence, the Moyers lost thousands of dollars in musical instruments and equipment, as well as family photos and other personal belongings.

Several Spokane groups, including Hot Club of Spokane and Imagine Jazz, arranged the Moyer Family Relief Concert at Hamilton Studio. Organizers announced that over $10,000 was raised for the Moyers during the event…
