SPOKANE, Wash. — Significant issues involving rebar in the Greene Street Bridge Resurfacing Project have delayed the work and pushed the bridge’s reopening into the first week of August.
The project had been scheduled to finish at the end of June, however, officials with the city’s Street Department reported that major rebar issues changed that timeline, noting that approximately 400 pieces of rebar would need to be replaced on the southbound side alone.
