200-unit apartment building proposed for long-vacant Kendall Yards site in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — A long-vacant property at the entrance to Kendall Yards could soon become home to a six-story apartment and retail development under plans recently submitted to the City of Spokane.

According to the application, Greenstone Corp. has filed a construction application for the proposed Kendall Yards Podium project at 1175 West Summit Parkway, a highly visible vacant site just west of the Monroe Street Bridge.

The application said that the estimated $71 million development would include 200 apartment units, 364 parking stalls in two levels of underground parking and about 53,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space for restaurants, retail or other businesses…
