SPOKANE, Wash. – On September 23, Wendy’s — the fast-food chain — released an emo music album titled “Songs to Listen to in a Wendy’s Parking Lot. ” The album included songs from a variety of artists, including Kat Leon, Shane Told and Spokane native Matty Mullins.
Mullins is the lead vocalist for both Memphis May Fire and Anberlin, metalcore and alternative rock bands respectively.
He told NonStop Local that Wendy’s reached out to his band directly for the album. He jumped on the opportunity, telling us, “I flew straight from… I think it was somewhere on the East Coast out to LA to the studio that you see in the Wendy’s music video and we recorded that song. I didn’t know what was gonna happen with it. As of yesterday, it’s pretty explosive.”…
