Gusty winds and blowing dust to usher in a pattern change

The Inland Northwest is saying so long to the 70s and hello to the wind as a cold front swings through the region on Friday.

Wind gusts are expected to peak over 30 mph for much of the region with sustained winds of 20-25 mph from late morning into early evening.

Due to the recently dry conditions, a Blowing Dust Advisory is in effect until 7:00 p.m. for the Waterville Plateau, the Upper Columbia Basin, the West Plains, Spokane, and the Washington side of the Palouse. Be prepared for limited visibility on area roadways…
