Suspect in Spokane 2021 fatal vehicle collision found guilty

SPOKANE – Today in a Spokane County Superior Court, a jury found the driver of a vehicle that left the roadway killing the passenger, guilty of vehicular homicide. 30-year-old Selina M. Juarez was driving on Trent Ave around 3 AM on June 22, 2021, when she left the road, crashing into a fire hydrant, shearing it from the pedestal and sending it 50 feet away. The car then impacted a rail car before coming to rest. Police and medical personnel responded to the collision and extricated the passenger, 42-year-old Brandon McDonald, who was declared deceased at the scene.
