Post Falls helicopter leads to unique opportunity for local family

POST FALLS, Idaho. — “Where was it? Do you remember where it was? Can you point to where it was?” said Sarah Malloy, her daughter Irelynn responding, “It was up there.”

Earlier today people around Post Falls had quite the site to see. A helicopter was flying low over Falls Park, making people stop and stare.

Sarah Malloy and her children went for a normal park visit, but saw more than they bargained for.

“Well, we wanted to get outside since the weather is not super crazy, and we got snow gear. So we figured we’d brave it and get out of the house,” said Malloy.

Like many right now the warm weather drew the Malloy’s to the park, where they stumbled upon a helicopter flying low above the falls in the park.

Malloy first sharing that she was cautious to look further into the reason for the helicopter, worrying it may be for an emergency situation. But after further investigation she felt relieved to notice nobody panicking.

So instead she used this opportunity to educated her children saying, “So I was excited to take a second to educate the kids and allow them to see it up close.”
