Suspect identified in downtown Spokane shooting

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police Department has identified the suspect involved in the downtown Spokane shooting earlier today.

According to SPD the suspect has been identified as Hunter B. Wood (28).

Wood was transported to the Spokane County Jail and booked for 1st degree assault.

The victim of the shooting remains in a local hospital.

One person is in custody following a shooting that occurred downtown this afternoon around 4:20 p.m.

According to Spokane Police Department (SPD) the victim was shot near Brown and Second Avenue.

SPD says the victim has was taken to the hospital with non-threatening live injuries.

Police were able to locate the suspect within 4-minutes after receiving the 911 call.
