SPOKANE, Wash. – The newest Spokane City Council member representing District Two, Position Two is set to be sworn in Friday evening. Barbara Liliana Navarrete Lorenzo was appointed as council’s newest member on Jan. 22 with a 4-2 vote. She is taking over Betsy Wilkerson’s vacant seat after she was elected city council president.
