Disturbance at Spokane apartment complex leads to armed man’s arrest, sentenced to 70 months in prison

SPOKANE, Wash. — A 28-year-old man was sentenced to nearly six years in prison after pleading guilty to felon in possession of a firearm.

According to court documents, Reily William Arambul met a man at a friend’s house asking for a ride to an apartment complex near West 5th Avenue in Spokane. When they got there, court documents say Arambul walked up to the complex and verbally confronted people at the apartment complex.

Someone at the apartment called 911 to report a disturbance and that someone, who ended up being Arambul, had a weapon.

The Spokane Police Department arrived to Arambul’s location and saw him run back to the truck he got a ride from and entered the passenger’s seat. Arambul tried to flee law enforcement heading west on 5th Avenue, but SPD officers boxed the truck in and was arrested.
