SPOKANE, Wash. — A man accused of robbing three banks stole almost $10,000 and threatened bank employees with a gun, according to court documents filed.
40-year-old Dustin Perrin made his first court appearance Wednesday over three counts of first-degree bank robbery.
According to the affidavit of facts, Perrin is suspected of robbing First Interstate Bank, Numerica Credit Union, and Washington Trust Bank over a four-month span.
Court docs say the suspect went into First Interstate on October 12, 2023 and handed a check to be cashed along with a handwritten note that said, “Put ALL MONEY in baGS, 20-50-100 NO DIE BAGS. DON’T Do Anything Stupid and we All Go Home Safely. THANK you.”
The teller put $1,986 in the suspect’s bag and signaled the alarm when the suspect had left.
Detectives say nearby video footage showed the suspect riding a bike away from the crime scene.
The affidavit says the note used by the suspect at First Interstate returned two sets of DNA, one of which was a match for Perrin and the other was unidentified.
