SPOKANE, Wash. – Nine Spokane police officers fired their weapons at a suicidal man Wednesday night after the department says the man waved a gun at them. All nine officers will remain on leave until the completion of an independent investigation, which, in accordance with state law, won’t involve any investigators from the Spokane Police Department.
