SPOKANE, Wash. – A 15-year-old student who was stabbed in the chest in the girls’ bathroom at Shadle Park High School yesterday is now resting at home tonight.
There was some concern that she may need heart surgery based on her injuries, but after overnight observation it appears that she will not.
Police say the stabbing stemmed form a fight involving four students Thursday morning.
Police say one student was detained following the incident.
