Five people displaced due to house fire in west central Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Fire Department extinguished a house fire on W. Boone Avenue near N. Ash Street Friday morning.

According to SFD, firefighters driving by saw smoke coming from the home’s attic.

Boone was shut down while firefighters worked on knocking down the fire.

The occupants were able to safely get out and no one was hurt.

The Red Cross is assisting the five people displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
