More rain this weekend while the mountains finally get some snow – Matt

Slightly cooler with more wet weather this weekend

Rain continues off-and-on, but it will get cool enough that we’ll start picking up mountain snow again.

A shift towards slightly cooler air happens this weekend, and with it comes another chance for showers. It will get cool enough we might see some snow mixed in with the rain this weekend.

What We’re Tracking

  • A large storm system is heading into California, will pull moisture through the Inland Northwest on its way there this weekend
  • Temperatures will stabilize to just 3 to 5 degrees above normal (upper 30s and low 40s)
  • More valley rain/mix and mountain snow is likely next week
  • Best times to be outdoors this weekend: Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon
  • Light snow over the passes; 3-5″ for Lookout with under 1″ for all others
