MAC hosting Spokane-based artist Gil Zambrano’s art exhibit

SPOKANE, Wash. — A contemporary artist based from Spokane will have his exhibit at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC) very soon!

The MAC announced that Reinaldo Gil Zambrano’s exhibit Pulling Roots: Reinaldo Gil Zambrano will be on display and open to the public starting on Saturday, February 10. The exhibit will be open through April 20.

The exhibit will show 38 original works by Zambrano. Zambrano’s work consists of intricate wood carvings and relief printmaking techniques that express the understanding of “home,” mixing elements of magical realism, pop culture, autobiography, political activism and traditional iconography to tell stories.

Tickets for museum admission is $12 for adults ages 18 and up, $10 for seniors 65 and up and college students with IDs and $8 for children ages six to 17. Members and children under the age of five get in for free. Discounts are also available for military and AAA members.
