Patchy black ice for the morning commute with valley rain and mountain snow on the way

We are off to a fairly mild start this Monday morning with the exception of patchy black ice over bridges and overpasses, heavily shaded areas, and rural areas. We will see widespread rain showers across the lowlands today and some mountain snow for the higher elevations. Daytime highs will continue to trend warm and above average Monday and Tuesday in the low-40s and low to mid-50s down south toward the LC Valley, Orofino, and Kamiah. Spokane and Coeur d’Alene are looking at a high of 42 on Monday.
