Plan to restore salmon population in the Upper Columbia River Basin moves ahead

SPOKANE, Wash.- A project to restore the salmon populations of the Upper Columbia River Basin is progressing with assistance from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. The Upper Columbia United Tribes (UCUT), which advocate for tribal land and water rights to preserve the ecological health of the region, are leading a $208 million dollar project to reintroduce a healthy salmon population to Upper Columbia.
