Two cars in head-on crash on Highway 395, both drivers injured

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A man and woman were both injured in a head-on crash south of Deer Park Monday morning.

According to WSP, a car driven by 23-year-old Toby Hayes was heading north on 395 too fast for the conditions. Troopers say Hayes lost control and crossed the median hitting another vehicle head on.

Both Hayes and the other driver were transported to area hospitals. Both vehicles were totaled, and Hayes was cited.

All lanes were blocked but the road was cleared at about 8:30 a.m.
