Former Missoula union boss encourages public involvement amid USPS review

MISSOULA, Mont. – A former union boss is speaking out following concerns over Missoula’s outgoing mail processing possibly moving to Spokane, Washington. The Missoula facility is one of 59 mail processing facilities being reviewed nationwide by the U.S. Postal Service, which could see services consolidated elsewhere. The agency explored moving Missoula’s mail processing operations to Spokane in 2011, but the local American Postal Workers Union successfully pushed back.
