Man arrested for string of Spokane burglaries

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department arrested a man suspected of multiple residential burglaries around the city.

According to SPD, their Stolen Property Enforcement and Recovery Team (SPEAR) conducted an in-depth investigation. SPEAR says using info from victims and neighbors, it was determined the suspect would kick-in back doors or break rear windows to get inside homes stealing cash, jewelry, and electronics.

SPD says on Sunday, February 4, 32-year-old Stephen Hinsen was taken into custody for five counts of residential burglary and two counts of theft. SPD says Hinsen is currently out on bond and has prior felony theft convictions.
