U.S. Sen. Jon Tester introduced the PARCEL Act to prohibit the consolidation of mail processing operations. The bill was introduced in response to Missoula’s outgoing mail USPS processing operations moving to Spokane, Washington. The bill would prohibit the consolidation of mail processing operations unless it doesn’t harm local mail delivery.
