SPOKANE, Wash. – A double house fire broke out in Peaceful Valley, causing significant damage and sending smoke billowing through downtown Spokane. Firefighters responded to the 1600 block of West Water Avenue around 6:00 a.m., finding large flames and visible smoke. The fire started in one house and quickly spread to the house next door.
