SPOKANE, Wash. — A person was killed riding a scooter near Deaconess Hospital in downtown Spokane Tuesday morning.
According to the Spokane Police Department, the person was riding a scooter near 4th Avenue between Monroe Street and Lincoln Street when they were hit by a truck.
The driver of the truck is cooperating with police.
The person struck died at the scene.
The 4th is closed between Monroe and Lincoln at this time.
