Man arrested for felony warrant plus drug possession charge

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane Valley Deputies arrested a fugitive for an Idaho felony warrant plus a new charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.

On July 26, officers said they responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on E. Valleyway Ave.

As deputies responded, they checked the car’s history and found that the man associated with the car had a felony Idaho warrant. As the arrived to the scene, officers observed a man, later identified as 41-year-old Anthony J. Verbillis, walking down the street near the suspicious car.

Verbillis confirmed his own identity and officers arrested him for the Idaho warrant.

During a search of Verbillis’ property, deputies found a container of what they later confirmed as methamphetamine in his backpack.

Verbillis was booked into Spokane County Jail for a a new charge of Possession of Methamphetamine and as a fugitive for the Idaho warrant.
