Hank’s Harvest Foods in Twisp has been more than a grocery store for the past 49 years. The place has been something like the Methow Valley’s heart and soul. Community members who experienced the 2014 Carlton Complex Fire already know how store owner Hank Konrad and his son Jackson manned the fuel pumps at their neighboring convenience store when the power was out and credit card machines weren’t working. The line of cars trying to escape the valley stretched well past the Eagles club.
