Ben Stuckart concedes in race for Washington’s 3rd legislative district

SPOKANE, Wash. – Former Spokane City Council president Ben Stuckart has conceded in the race for Washington’s 3rd Legislative District.

Stuckart said in an announcement on social media Friday that while he is grateful for the support, his election journey this year has ended.

Stuckart was running against Tony Kiepe and Natasha Hill for the position. As of the latest election numbers, Stuckart was trailing behind Hill by 189 votes.

Primary election results will be officially certified on August 20.

Kiepe is currently the leading candidate for the position with 35.4% of votes. Hill has 32.5% of the primary election votes.

Kiepe and Hill will automatically advance to the general election in November.
