Spokane Fire investigating two fires in northeast Spokane as arson

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Fire Department knocked down two early morning structure fires and suspect they were lit intentionally.

According to SFD, one fire was started on E. Rockwell Avenue near Perry Street, and the second happened a block away on E. Lacrosse Avenue.

While firefighters were working one of the fires, a person alerted them to the second one burning. Both fires were started on the exterior of garages in alleyways.

SFD is working with Spokane Police to locate a suspect.
