Firefighter severely injured by tree this weekend; life flighted to Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – A firefighter was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane this weekend after getting seriously injured fighting a fire. According to a spokesperson for the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, a U.S. Forest Service firefighter was struck by a tree while “engaged in initial attack operations on a new wildfire on the Salmon River Ranger District.”
