SPOKANE, Wash. – A man has been charged with the shooting death of a woman on Hamilton Street last month.
According to Spokane Police, 41-year-old Travis R. Johnson is now facing charges of second-degree murder for the woman’s death.
The charge stems from an incident that happened July 21 where gunshots were heard in a home. When officers arrived, they found a woman dead in the home.
SPD said there was probable cause to arrest Johnson in connection with the shooting, though no further details were given.
Johnson is currently in Kootenai County Jail on unrelated charges.
Spokane County prosecutors are working to bring Johnson to Spokane County to face the murder charge.
