Five Spokane officers injured in two separate arrests on Saturday

SPOKANE, Wash. – Five Spokane police officers sustained minor injuries while attempting to arrest suspects on Saturday. The first incident occurred at around 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 17 at a park in the 3100 block of East 27th Avenue, Lincoln Heights, during a community event according to the Spokane Police Department. Police were called to manage a disorderly woman who was yelling profanities at children. Despite efforts to calm her, she continued her outbursts.
