Two juveniles arrested for string of vehicle burglaries in Post Falls

POST FALLS, Idaho – Two juveniles were arrested Tuesday for a string of vehicle burglaries in Post Falls.

According to Post Falls Police, the two suspects were seen trying to break into a car around North Lincoln Street and East 13th Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. When the car alarm went off, both ran away.

Police said when officers arrived, one of the suspects ran. Both the suspect and officers jumped fences and ran through yards during the pursuit. Police were able to catch the suspect after several blocks and he was arrested.

Police caught the second suspect a short time later who was also arrested.

Post Falls Police said the two had been involved in several other car burglaries in the area and had stolen property, including a gun, during this attempted break-in . Police said the two suspects were also intoxicated at the time of this incident.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center for burglary, possession of stolen property, criminal conspiracy and other charges.
