Deputies fly drone through house to find and arrest man in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A drone helped a SWAT team find and arrest a man in Spokane Valley on Monday who was wanted in Idaho, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 3:40 a.m. on August 26, Spokane Valley deputies responded to a reported domestic violence incident near Wilbur Road and Augusta Avenue in Spokane Valley.

When deputies arrived at the home, they noticed smears of blood and what looked to be knife marks on the front door.

The homeowner came to the door and told deputies her ex was at the house and had damaged the door.

Deputies entered the home and found more knife marks and blood smears inside on the doors and walls.

A man who said he was the homeowner’s boyfriend gave deputies his name, which was later determined to be a fake name, and told the deputies he had several small cuts on his forearm from an argument with his girlfriend.

The homeowner told deputies she left during the argument with the man and went to a friend’s home. When she returned, she saw the blood and knife marks on the doors and walls, but didn’t know where they came from.
