SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane area public schools begin the 2024-2025 school year on Tuesday, September 3 and local police remind drivers to follow school zone speed limits. The Spokane Police Department (SPD) says school zone speed cameras will be functional starting on Tuesday and fines will be sent to those violating the reduced speed limits.
