Be ready for traffic, parking congestion in downtown Spokane Friday night

SPOKANE, Wash. — If you have plans in downtown Spokane Friday night, be ready to deal with a scarcity of parking spots.

At ONE Spokane Stadium, high school football games are scheduled for the evening.

Right across the street at the Arena, legendary British rock band Def Leppard will be performing. Down the road, Matt Nathanson is also performing at the Spokane Pavilion.

With the multitude of events for sports and music fans alike within miles of each other, traffic and parking issues are inevitable.

The City of Spokane said drivers should avoid the Washington Stevens corridor and use Division Street, Monroe/Ash Street to access the venues for tonight’s events.

City officials also encourage you to carpool or use public transportation if possible.
