Record-breaking heat on Saturday, another hot one in store for the region on Sunday

Sunday will be another hot and hazy day across the Inland Northwest as temperatures reach the mid to upper 90s to wrap up the summer-like weekend. Spokane broke a record on Saturday! The daytime high record for September 7 was previously held at 95 degrees in 1944. Spokane’s daytime high broke that record by one degree on Saturday after reaching 96 degrees! As for Sunday, the Lilac City is forecasted to reach 97 degrees on Sunday, with Coeur d’Alene close behind at 93 degrees.
