Suspect arrested for fatal hit and run in downtown Spokane last month

SPOKANE, Wash. — A 55-year-old suspect was arrested Sunday for a fatal hit and run in downtown Spokane on August 30.

According to Spokane Police, Dom D. Felix was booked into Spokane County Jail for a fatal vehicle hit and run charge.

The vehicle involved in the hit and run has also been recovered.

On August 30, calls came in for a vehicle versus pedestrian crash near 3rd Street and Wall Street around 11 a.m. The victim, 44-year-old Jeremy Somday, died from his injuries.

Police said Felix has an extensive criminal history with prior felony convictions for possession of a controlled substance.
