Two hospitalized after pickup truck driver crashes into motorcyclist on I-90

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — Two people were hospitalized in a crash on Interstate 90 just east of Liberty Lake Saturday.

According to Washington State Patrol, 54-year-old Marvin Rogers was driving a white pickup truck was traveling eastbound behind a motorcycle driven by 32-year-old Andrew Snow just before 10:30 a.m.

WSP said the pickup truck crashed into the back of the motorcycle. The motorcycle driver was thrown from the motorcycle into the middle of the road.

This crash is the latest in a string of crashes involving motorcycles, a trend that’s leading to more and more riders putting up their bikes for the season.

“I put the bikes away, I just don’t feel safe on the road, I have seen a lot of wrecks,” said Vasya, the president of Spokane Riders Group.

Vasya said riding has been his passion for almost two decades. But now, he’s decided to put it aside.

“It feels horrible,” he said. “It is like having your dream car that you can’t drive.”

Vasya said he wasn’t on the memorial ride this morning where the motorcyclist was struck. The ride was for a biker who passed away Wednesday in another motorcycle crash – one of the tree from this week alone.
