EWU announces $13 million plan to upgrade athletics faclities

CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington University Athletic Director Tim Collins announced a $13 million plan to upgrade athletics facilities, specifically Roos Field.

The university has already raised six million dollars towards the project with the remainder coming from philanthropy efforts and facility-generated revenue.

The $13 million is the capital in-hand to start the project with the total renovations worth twice that amount.

In a letter written to the EWU community, Collins says the goal is ” to fund a stadium redesign to be on par with our Big Sky Conference peers.”

EWU replaced the floor at Reese Court earlier this summer.
