Firefighters respond to brush fire in Otis Orchards

OTIS ORCHARDS, Wash. — A brush fire broke out near the Washington-Idaho border on Sunday afternoon, according to Spokane Valley Fire Department.

Around 1:30 p.m. on September 29, fire crews responded to a 2nd alarm brush fire near Malvern Road and Joseph Avenue in Otis Orchards, Washington.

SVFD said the fire’s forward progression was stopped around 2 p.m.

The fire was estimated at 5-7 acres and no structures were damaged or lost.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
