Teenager arrested with weapon at Lewis and Clark High School

SPOKANE, Wash. — Lewis and Clark High School students were placed under Secure and Teach Tuesday morning for reports of a student bringing a suspected weapon to school.

The school’s principal notified families of the threats Tuesday morning through email and voicemail.

The email to the families said LCHS staff were made aware of “allegations of a student bringing a weapon to the school.”

According to Spokane Police Department, a ‘realistic’ BB gun was removed from the waistband of a 15-year-old male.

The teenager was arrested for possessing dangerous weapons on school facilities and booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center.

LC says the school and law enforcement took appropriate actions.
