CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington University warned students and staff about the presence of “date rape drugs” on campus. According to The Spokesman-Review, this warning was issued after after two students reported that their drinks may have been tampered with during recent sorority and fraternity parties. The Spokesman-Review said that the students experienced symptoms consistent with unknowingly ingesting substances like Rohypnol, commonly referred to as “roofies.” These drugs can make victims feel sleepy, detached, or unwell and may affect their memory.
