New hospital in Post Falls aims to provide affordable and accessible healthcare

POST FALLS, Idaho — A new hospital in Post Falls is hoping to serve the community by making healthcare more accessible and affordable.

Post Falls ER & Hospital on Beck Road opened its doors in early September and has already seen over 600 patients.

The medical center was started by 14 physicians who partnered with Nutex Health out of Texas to start the practice.

Dr. Robert Seely is the CEO of the hospital and has lived in Post Falls for nearly 15 years.

He said the group was motivated by the lack of affordable, nearby healthcare.

“Just seeing the needs in our community, and one of the needs in our community is certainly access to care,” he said.

The hope is that the new hospital will decrease travel, wait time and cost for patients in the area.

“Every person that comes to the emergency department, we do what we call a medical screening exam,” said Dr. Seely.

Medical staff will assess the situation and, if it’s not an emergency, give the patient information about their options.
