Veterans Day changes in Spokane: What to expect on Monday

SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane wants you to know about a few changes happening in honor of Veterans Day this Monday.

On November 11, on-street parking meters and kiosks will be free to use. The city says, however, that all parking rules, including time limits, still apply.

All Spokane Public Library branches, the Spokane Municipal Court and Community justice services will be closed in honor of the holiday.

City Hall, however, will remain open and the city council will be running on its normal schedule.

Also running on its normal schedule is the city’s Solid Waste Services.

On Veterans Day, Riverfront Park is also offering free Looff Carrousel rides for all active and retired military members and their families.
