A shift in the weather pattern is bringing snow and rain to the region as a warm front moves through. Washington and Sherman Passes are seeing snow, while lower elevations are experiencing widespread rain. Mountain showers are expected to continue through Thursday and Friday, with heavier snowfall returning Saturday night into Sunday.
Tonight through Friday, the region will see colder temperatures as a trough pattern deepens, bringing a dry and cold trend. Light snow is possible in low-lying areas, including Spokane, but any accumulation is expected to be minimal. Higher terrains like the Cascades and Idaho Panhandle will see one to two inches of snow by Friday. Highs will range from the 40s to low 50s on Thursday, dipping into the upper 30s and 40s on Friday. Overnight lows will fall to the 30s and low 40s, with Friday night dropping to the upper 20s and 30s.
