MEAD, Wash. – A fire destroyed a home near Mead on Thursday, displacing the family. According to a spokesperson from Spokane County Fire District 4, the fire was reported around 2:15 p.m. in the area of North Mount Carlton Road. Fire crews attempted to contain the flames, but the home was fully engulfed by the time they arrived.
