Car crash in Spokane Valley injures two on Christmas Day

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Two people were hospitalized after a car crash in Spokane Valley on Christmas Day.

Around 11 a.m. on December 25, 39-year-old Robert Garcia was driving northbound on Pines Road near Trent Avenue when his car crossed the center line and hit a car driving in the southbound lane, according to Washington State Patrol.

Both Garcia and the driver of the other car were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

WSP said they suspect the cause of the crash was alcohol or drug-related.

Garcia was charged with vehicular assault.
