ZILLAH, Wash. — With considerable flourish and publicity, gaining attention from local media organizations, the Zillah School of Driving opened for business in 2024.
Now, an investigation by the Washington Department of Licensing has found it more likely than not that Zach Dorr and William ‘Derek’ Brown, the owners and operators of the Zillah School of Driving, did so under false pretenses. The report also claims it to be more likely than not that Dorr and Brown falsified training documents by forging a trainer’s initials.
On December 31, 2024, the Department of Licensing received a complaint filed the day before from Alex Hansen, the President of the Washington Traffic Safety Education Association. Hansen requested that the DOL should “begin an investigation of Zillah School of Driving regarding the training that the two instructor/owners allegedly received in order to become certified, as well as their instructional practices.”…
